Dr. Jasmyn Wright, a globally recognized
educator, author, and speaker, received her Bachelor of Arts in
Psychology from Spelman College, her Master’s in Education from
Christian Brothers University, and her doctorate in Social, Emotional,
and Academic Leadership from Sacred Heart University. A Teach for
America and Fulbright Teachers for Global Classrooms alumna, she is the
CEO and founder of The Push Through Organization – a non-profit that
uses innovative practices to equip, inspire, educate, and empower
individuals to overcome adversity and become change agents.

 

An elementary educator of 15 years, Dr. Wright’s innovative teaching
philosophies have been featured in a global GAP Kids back-to-school
campaign, as well as various national and international media outlets,
including The New York Times, The Today Show, NPR News, FOX, NBC, Good
Morning America, The International Literacy Association, etc. Her viral
‘push through’ mantra has been adapted into adult and K-12 classroom
settings across 27 U.S. states and 40 countries.

Wright’s affirmational and empowering children’s book, I’m Gonna Push
Through!, encourages children to access their power within and use it to
overcome challenges. Jasmyn has delivered two TEDx talks and travels
the world, leading keynotes and partnering as a consultant to various
educational organizations. 

Jasmyn brings creativity and innovation to her classroom by creating affirmations, programs, and global learning projects that leave her students empowered and excited to learn. She encourages them to be strong and limitless by incorporating social-emotional learning practices. Her inspiring and “out of the box” teaching approach allows her to build authentic, healthy relationships with each of her students, and create a strong classroom culture.

 

In November 2016, Dr. Wright uploaded a video to her Facebook page, leading an original call and response mantra called “Push Through” with her then third-grade students. This mantra instantly became a social media sensation, reaching over 3.7 million views within one week. Since then, her classroom style of teaching has been recognized and featured by The New York Times, Good Morning America, Huffington Post, Netflix, The Today Show, Buzzfeed News, NPR News, Fox, NBC, etc. Jasmyn and her class had the opportunity to be featured in a Gap Kids back to school campaign, using a shortened version of her original, infamous classroom mantra, “Push Through”. The commercial was also coupled with a mini-documentary. Her ‘Push Through’ mantra is now permeating throughout classrooms and communities all over the world, and has been translated into multiple languages.

 

Dr. Wright is a global educator and professes that the world is now her classroom. In addition to traveling and leading various inspirational keynotes, youth empowerment workshops, and teacher professional developments across the globe, she’s also an author, curriculum writer, and serves as an educational consultant. She travels to multiple countries and partners with organizations, leading, facilitating, and organizing teacher training programs. Sharing her best practices and innovative and sincere teaching methods, Jasmyn is impacting and transforming educational communities around the world.
